Shouldn't I be working?

Well here we are again. I don't really keep the blog or profile on myspace updated very often so I decided to finally lauch a new blog with the Google folks. Only fitting considering my nickname "The Human Google" which I have received here at work.

I've been very active with my non-recreational writing(i.e. screenplays, stage plays, etc..) lately but it helps when I do more of this free association journaling - is that a word? I always did very well in my creative writing class in high school because we had to start everyday with 15 minutes of just total stream of consciousness writing. Although I will try to have some substanitive posts and not just random entries about daily life, pet peeves and pop culture punditry.

So what's going on this weekend? It's Memorial Day, so I'm looking forward to missing a day of work. No plans otherwise except to catch "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull". Then I'm sure I'll wind-up at some bar-b-que, always do.

The weather has already gone from nice Springtime to the Dog Days of Summer in a snap. Pushing 100 degrees and not dipping below a high 95 most days. Allergies are kind of kicking my behind this week as well, but I don't feel bad, just got the gunk and water, red eyes that makes me look perpetually stoned, which would be far more fun than having allergies.

OK. Lunch time is approaching so I will close out this first post with an Oscar Wilde quote - "The basis of optimism is sheer terror."
